Mary Lamatrell Power Smith

Mary Lamatrell Power Smith, age 73, of 801 E. Ferguson St., died Saturday, September 26, 2015, in the Laurens County Hospital.
She was born in Abbeville and was a daughter of the late Rufus Lee and Mary Lou Simmons Power.
Mrs. Smith was retired from Whitten Center and was a member of Davidson Street Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Glenn D. Smith, of the home; her son, Mark Ashley Smith, of Asheville, NC; her daughter, Glenda Smith Hayes, of Toccoa, GA; three sisters, Joyce Humphries, Shirley Sue Goree and Myrna Mann; two brothers, Larry Power and Mike Power; three grandchildren, Ian Smith, Samantha Davenport and Savannah Sharp; and one great-grandchild, Hailey Davenport.
Mrs. Smith was predeceased by her siblings, Walter Power, Wallace Power, Wayne Power, Eugene Power, Ellis Power, and Marsha Mitchell.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 28th, at 12:00 Noon, in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Clinton, with entombment at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 to 12:00.
