Mary Colleen Merchant Young

Mary Colleen Young, age 58 of 137 New Hampshire Circle, died Monday, March 12, 2007.
She was born in Newberry County and was a daughter of C. T. and Mary Deaton Merchant.
She is survived by her husband, Terry W. Young of the home, four children, Mark (Ann) Nelson and Georgia (Mike) Cogsdill both of Clinton, Lena (James) Broome of Joanna and Wade (Vonda) Nelson of Ninety Six; three step-children, Terry Lee Young, Gene Whelchel and Tammy Carter: six brothers and sisters, Curtis (Sue) Merchant, Carolyn Huey and Kathy Deadwyler all of Laurens, Diane (Joe) Parks of Clinton, Wayne (Betty Jean) Merchant of Kinards and Gene (Lynn) Merchant of Laurens; six grandchildren, Austin, Rebecca, and Natalie Cogsdill, Will Davis and Tyler and McKenzie Nelson; seven step-grandchildren and three step great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her mother, Mary Merchant and a brother, Frank Merchant.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in First Pentecostal Holiness Church with burial in Little River Dominick Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour before the service from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Church.
The family will be at the home of the daughter, Georgia Cogsdill at 109 Florence St., Clinton, SC.
