Mary Lou Ferguson

Mary Lou Ferguson, widow of Irby W. Ferguson, Sr. died on July 18, 2010. Born in Kinards on November 9, 1918 she was the only daughter of the late John Burr Johnson, Sr. and Sarah Horton Johnson. She attended Presbyterian College. She was a retired financial secretary of First Presbyterian Church Clinton and also from working alongside of her husband at Irby’s Meat Market.

She is survived by three sons Watts Ferguson, Dean (Jamie) Ferguson, and Will (Teresa) Ferguson all of Clinton and one daughter Mary Ann (Russell) Epting of Summerville, SC, six grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother Olin Johnson and four sisters-in-law Grace Johnson, Frances Johnson, Clarice Johnson, and Jean Johnson.. She was predeceased by six brothers Albert Johnson, Robert Johnson, William Johnson, Raymond Johnson, J.B. Johnson, and Roy Johnson.

The family will be at their respective homes or the home of Will and Teresa Ferguson, 306 Dixon Street, Clinton, SC.

A memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church Clinton on Tuesday, July 20, at 2:00 p.m. following a private burial at Rosemont Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church upon conclusion of the service.
