Mary "Mimi" Barron Saunders

Mary “Mimi” Barron Saunders, age 76 of 418 Byrnes St., widow of George McCall Saunders died Friday, July 31, 2009 at her home.
She was born in Joanna and was a daughter of the late Allen DeKalb and Eugenia Granger Barron.
Mrs. Saunders was a member of the Shady Grove Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are her sons, George McCall Saunders, Allen Barron Saunders and wife, Belinda, John Grey Saunders, Charles Vernon Saunders and wife, Nancy, Philip Miller Saunders; two grandchildren, Charles Alexander Saunders and Sarah Saunders May; one great granddaughter; two brothers, Allen “Buba” DeKalb Barron and wife, Akio, Zack Wright Barron; three sisters, Joan Barron Bundy, Linda Barron Thomas and husband, Steve, Wistar Barron Bjorstan and husband, Oliver.
A memorial service will be conducted Monday, Aug. 3rd at 2:00 p.m. in the Shady Grove Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow at The Church of the Ascension, church cemetery in Hagood, SC.
The family will receive friends at the residence.
