Mary Morris Rice

Mary Morris Rice age 68, widow of Harold W. Rice, of 105 Clemson Street died Monday February 16, 2009 at the Laurens County Hospital.
She was born in Durham County, NC and was a daughter of the late James Thomas and Elsie Louise Freeman Morris.
Mrs. Rice was a retired employee of Liggett Myers Tobacco Co. of Durham, NC and was a member of the Laurens County Bowling Association. She was of the Baptist Faith.
Mrs. Rice is survived by one son, Charles Thomas Rice of Swansea; two daughters, Cynthia Louise Rice Marler of Laurens and Magen Elizabeth Rice of the home; three brothers, Jimmy T. Dickerson of Graham, NC, Julius L. Dickerson of Conyers, GA and William Jack Dickerson of Hollywood, FL; one sister, Margaret Louise Mitchum of Florence, SC; six grandchildren, Robert Harold Marler, Christopher Corteville, Allison Bright, Joshua Corteville, Jessica Lawson, and Billy Corteville, Jr: one great-grandchild, Jacobi Marler.
Mrs. Rice was preceded in death by a son, Julius Lee Rice.
Funeral services will be held in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, February 19th at 2:00 PM with burial at Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
