Mary S. Douglas

Mary S. Douglas, age 86, formerly of 100 Jefferson St. and widow of Toy Douglas died Saturday, August 30, 2008 in the White Oak Manor in Newberry.
She was born in Whitmire and was the daughter of the late John Benjamin and Estelle Quinton Strickland.
Mrs. Douglas was a home health care attendant and was a member of Clinton First Pentecostal Holiness Church.
She is survived by a son, Lloyd H. Taylor of Barksdale; two daughters, Christine Ozbirn of Tuscumbia, AL and Cathy Ann Wright of Cross Hill; a brother, James Adair of Hickory, NC; two sisters, Ethel Wyatt of Princeton, TX and Jenny Whitner of Hickory, NC; a special niece, Pat Bostic of Clinton; 12 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the First Pentecostal Holiness Church with entombment at Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Monday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family will be at the home of Pat Bostic, 300 Caldwell St., Clinton.
