Mary Sue Holmes, age 82 of 861 Union Hwy., died Tuesday, December 16, 2008 in the National Health Care of Clinton.
She was born in Spartanburg County and was a daughter of the late John H. and Ella Machray Holmes.
She was retired from Presbyterian College and was a member of the Yarborough Chapel United Methodist Church.
Surviving are several Nieces and Nephews and one sister, Estelle Whisenant of Clinton.
She was predeceased by one brother, W. G. Holmes and seven sisters, Loree Waddell, Helen Gwinn Weaver, Vallie Callahan, Ruth Todd, Rosa Lee Oswalt, Frances Meeks and Louise Maddox.
Graveside services will be conducted Thursday, Dec. 18th at 2:00 p.m. in Yarborough’s Chapel Cemetery, Cross Anchor.
The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends immediately after the service at the Yarborough’s Chapel United Methodist Church.
