Mary Susan Durham Huey, 89, widow of James Alford Huey, passed to her heavenly home Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2005 at her daughter's house in Powdersville, SC.
She was born Nov. 29, 1916 in Oconee County and was a daughter of the late William David and Omie Jo Burton Durham.
She was a devoted wife for 64 years, a loving mother, a dedicated homemaker, a textile worker, and servant for her Lord. She was a member of Calvery Baptist Church.
Surviving is one daughter and spouse, Ruth Huey Wilson and Lowry (Mel) Wilson; one daughter-in-law, Frances Reece Huey; five grandchildren, Lowry M. Wilson (Trip), Jimmy Alan Wilson, D?etra Melena Wilson Fitch, Allen Huey, Kim Huey English; four great-grandchildren, Brandy Wilson, Gregory Wilson, Alec Wilson, Ryan English; two brothers, Thomas Archie Durham, of Belton, Jerry L. Durham, of Seneca; two sisters, Annie Hudgins, Betty Jo Elliot, both of Seneca, and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two sons; Jimmy A. Huey and Freddie G. Huey; five brothers, William, Edward, Charles, Frank, Virgil Durham; and a sister, Bertha Mealor.
Funeral services will be conducted by Dr. Jim Dubose on Friday, Dec. 16th at3:00 p.m. at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Clinton SC, with interment at Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
