Matthew Richard King, age 63, of 213 Cleveland Street, passed away Monday, October 26, 2015 in the Newberry Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Spartanburg and was the son of the late Hall O. and Ruth B. King.
Mr. King was employed as a PPC Coordinator for Komatsú USA and worked for CMI for over 30 years. He was also a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He grew up in Clinton and graduated from Presbyterian College.
He is survived by his sons, Jason H. King (Christy) and Matthew Scott King (Amy), both of Clinton; his daughter, Laura Anne Dempsey (Paul) of Clinton; his brother, Mark O. King (Diane) of Clinton; his sisters, Sylvia Ballew (Robert) and Martha K. Campbell, both of Clinton; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother, Philip B. King.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 29th at 4 PM at First Baptist Church of Clinton with burial in Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6 PM to 8 PM at the funeral home.
The family will be at 1189 Green Plain Road, Clinton, SC 29325.
