Matthew Robert Lollar

Matthew Robert Lollar, 33, gained his angel wings on October 7th, 2022 at 5:23 pm in the Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia, SC. He went to be with God and his father peacefully surrounded by family that loved him fiercely.
If you knew Matthew, you knew him as the most funny, random and kind person. He was a Husband, a Son, a Brother and a friend to so very many people. He loved so unconditionally and so hard and never met a stranger. His eyes were the kindest, his smile was infectious, and his soul was the brightest. He loved helping animals and people in need, no matter their situation. He was part of the Homes of Hope and Miracle Hill organizations in Greenville, SC.
Matthew is survived by his wife, Kara Lollar; Mother, Linda Jarels; Brother, Justin Lollar; Sisters, Mitzy Lewallen and April Hoff; Uncle, Robert Bruce; Aunt, Brenda (Dave) Rowe.
He was predeceased by his father, Michael Lollar; Maternal grandparents, Frank and Frieda Bruce; Paternal Grandparents, Luther and Gladys Lollar; and his Cousin, Jason Rowe.
His memorial celebration will be at Griggs Memorial Baptist Church, 300 Poinsett Hwy Greenville, SC 29609 at 1:00pm on Saturday October 15th, 2022.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Humane Society of Greenwood, 2820 Airport Road, Greenwood, SC 29649 or Homes of Hope in Greenville, 3 Dunean Street, Greenville, SC 29611. Matthew loved all animals and Homes of Hope helped him through his adult life.
