Mattie Kelley Hipp

Mattie Kelley Hipp age 88 formerly of the Memorial Home and the widow of Boyd E. Hipp, died Wednesday, Jan. 11th in the National Health Care of Laurens.
She was born in Walhalla, SC and was a daughter of the late J. Allen and Mattie Kelley.
Mrs. Hipp was retired from both the Laurens Mill and JP Stevens Watts Plant and was a member of the Second Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sons, C. Melvin Hipp and wife, Joyce of Laurens, H. Arthur Hipp and wife, Cookie of Waterloo; one daughter, Lois Hipp Reames and husband, Tommy V. Reames, Sr. of Laurens, nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son, James Edger Hipp and grandson, Scott Hipp.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in the Second Baptist Church with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home
