Melba "Joyce" Gill White

Melba “Joyce” Gill White, age 93, of Laurens, formerly of Austin, TX, widow of Robert Eugene “Bob” White, passed away, Thursday, January 30, 2025 at NHC of Laurens.

Joyce was born on February 8, 1931 in Lufkin, TX, and was the daughter of the late Samuel Gee and Beaulah Mae Dominy Gill. She was a devoted member of Lakeway Church in Austin, TX, where she was deeply involved in church activities. She had a passion for quilting and enjoyed teaching conversational English. 

Joyce is survived by her sons, Randall H. White (Georgia), and Robert Steven White (Michille); her daughter, Cheryl Lee Lisandrillo; her brother, Jack Gill (Linda); her sisters, Janice Skelton, and Jean Walter; her seventeen grandchildren; her forty-five great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. 

In addition to her parents, and husband, Joyce was preceded in death by her daughter, Vicki Karen Volick; and her brothers, Clayton Gill, and Ray Gill.
