Melvin Eugene Johnson

Melvin (Gene) Johnson, age 53, of 6871 Philson Rd. died Tuesday, April 1, 2008.
He was born in Clinton and is the son of Melvin D. and Nettie Davis Johnson of Clinton.
Mr. Johnson was a former employee of W.W. Logging Co.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine Price Johnson of the home; two daughters, Buffy Roddy of Spartanburg and Cindy Patterson of Clinton; a son, Rick Johnson of Spartanburg; a brother, Jimmy Johnson of Clinton; 4 sisters, Lucille McGee of Laurens, Jewell McGee of Clinton, Deborah Brooks and Trudy Fuller both of Laurens; 13 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2:00 p.m. in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
