Michael Everette Cannon

Michael Everette Cannon age 70 of 140 Grandview Acres, died Thursday, April 7, 2011 at the Hospice House of Laurens County.
He was born on February 3, 1941 in Clinton, SC and was a son of the late James Nathan and Elsie Purcell Cannon.
Mr. Cannon graduated from Clinton High School in 1959 and was retired from Solutia in Greenwood, SC after 37 ½ years of service.
He was a member of First Baptist Church in Clinton and was also a member of the S.C. Football and Basketball Association for 38 years.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Davenport Cannon of the home; three daughters, Delle Cleaveland and husband, Kevin of Greenwood, Patti Taylor and husband, Mark of Mountville, and Libby Johnson of Clinton; a brother, Charles W. Cannon and wife, Pat of Clinton; seven grandchildren, Heather Jackson, Seth Johnson, Hannah Cleaveland, Wes, Allison, Kalie and Ellie Taylor; and a large extended family.
Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, April 10th at 5:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Clinton with burial in Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
