Mildred W. Stapleton age 82 of 85 Lowry Street, and widow of Paul Edward Stapleton, passed away Monday, December 19, 2016 at her home.
She was born in Newberry County and was a daughter of the late Charlton Edwin Tobias and Annie Bell Moore Tobias.
Mrs. Stapleton was retired from the Torrington Bearings Company in Clinton and was of the Pentecostal Faith.
Surviving are two daughters, Linda Broome of Whitmire and Cathy Craps (Dean) of Batesburg-Leesville; two grandchildren, Lacey Broome (Todd) of Whitmire and Paul Craps (Jessica) of Batesburg-Leesville; and a great grandchild, Haley Jade Craps.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Frances Pauline Thompson and Mary “Shine” Silvers.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 21st at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Whitmire by Rev. Eddie Duncan with interment in the Whitmire Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday before the service from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
