Miriam Nabors Ayers, age 85 of 761 Sunset Blvd. died Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at Laurens County Hospice House.
She was born in Clinton and was the daughter of the late James Allen Coleman and Carrie Adair Coleman Copeland.
She was predeceased by her husbands, Marion J. Nabors and Rev. Fred W. Ayers; a daughter, Jeannie Kay Nabors, sisters, Kathryn Morgan, Sara Rae Henry and brothers, W. Allen Coleman and Harold A. Coleman.
Mrs. Ayers was retired from Presbyterian Home USA/Frampton Hall where she was Resident Manager. She also was employed at Industrial Supply Company as a bookkeeper for many years. She was a member of Clinton First Baptist Church and a former member of Providence Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church.
She is survived a daughter, Judy Nabors Holland and son-in-law, Johnny of Clinton; four grandchildren, Gina Holland Fryer and husband, David, Jonathan Holland and wife, Temple, Justin Holland and Jason Holland and one great-grandchild, Coleman Adair Fryer.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, Dec. 18th at 3:00 p.m. in Gray Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Rosemont Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2 to 3 p.m. before the service.
