Mozelle Nelson

Mozelle Nelson, age 96, widow of James W. “Bill” Nelson, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at NHC of Clinton.

 She was born January 22, 1928 in Columbia, SC and was a daughter of the late Herbert L. Bryant and Pearl Mae Birchmore Bryant.  Mozelle was always working and had several careers at Lydia Mill, Torrington Bearing Company, Lowe’s and Chick-fil-A where she was still working on her 90th birthday. She was a member of Lydia Baptist Church and enjoyed baking cakes for others.

 She is survived by her son, Leland Nelson and his wife, Jeannie; her grandsons, Lee Nelson and wife, Lindsay and Matt Nelson and wife, Amy; her five great-grandchildren, Carter, Braelan, Oliver, Ellie and Harper; her half-sister, Jeanette Baggott.

 In addition to her parents and husband, Mozelle was predeceased by an infant daughter, five siblings, her brother, J.W. Davis and her aunt, Connie Davis.

 A Private Memorial Service will be held at Rosemont Cemetery.
