Mrs. Robert E. (Gloria Owens) Wysor, III, age 82 of 303 Cedar Street and widow of Robert E. Wysor, III, died Tuesday, August 28, 2007, at the Laurens County Hospital.
She was born in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and was a daughter of the late Oscar and Mattie Will Simpson Owens.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church where she had served as the Children’s Choir Director, taught music at Thornwell Home for Children, gave private instruction from her home and was retired from Presbyterian College as Librarian.
Surviving are her son, Robert E. Wysor, IV of Blowing Rock, NC, one daughter, Sarah Lynn Gower of Tupelo, MS; ten grandchildren, Jonathan Michael McKinney, Joshua and Carrie McKinney, Laura and Malcomb Cornish, Robert Edward Wysor V, Daniel Andrew Wysor, Matthew Hosford Wysor, Caleb Nathaniel Wysor, Scott and Nicole Gower, Matthew and Laura Gower and Amy Elizabeth Gower; eight great-grandchildren, Grace Cornish, Cole Cornish, Andrew Gower, Jacob Gower, Katelyn Gower, Ryan Gower, Evan Gower and Reagan Gower.
A graveside service will be conducted Thursday, Aug. 30th at 10:00 a.m. in Rosemont Cemetery by Rev. Wain Wesberry.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Thornwell Home for Children, 302 S. Broad St., Clinton, SC 29325.
