Murray Lee Rikard

Murray Lee Rikard age 75 of 32730 Hwy. 76 E died Thursday, Feb. 19, 2009 at the Laurens County Hospice House.
He was born in Prosperity, SC and was a son of the late Frank and Alice Wicker Rikard.
Mr. Rikard was a pipe insulator at the Savannah River site and a contract laborer. He loved growing and selling produce and had a great sense of humor.
He was a member of Durbin Creek Baptist Church in Fountain Inn, SC.
Mr. Rikard is survived by a special companion, Joyce Ferguson of Fountain Inn and her two sons, Mark Franks, Kenneth Franks; three step-daughters, Kathy Beaty of Clinton, Deborah Witt of Joanna, and Diane Oswalt of Jackson, GA; a brother, Grady Rikard of Newberry; two sisters, Dorothy Haltiwanger of West Columbia and Sara Sutton of Columbia; and six grandchildren, Wayne and Jason Beaty, Michael Campbell, Stacy Bailey, Chris and Tiffany Wright.
He was predeceased by four brothers, Earl, W.B., Ralf, and Roland Rikard; two sisters, Ola Mae Wentworth and Martha Rikard.
Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family will be at the home of Joyce Ferguson, 382 Thompson Road, Fountain Inn, SC .
