Myrna C. Whitmire

 Myrna C. Whitmire, age 66 and wife of Warren G. Whitmire, Jr. passed away Thursday, January 2, 2025 at her home. 

 She was born San Fernando, Philippines and was a daughter of the late Pelagio Cabading and Virginia Mamaril Cabading. 

 Myrna was a proud graduate of the University of Santo Tomas where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Commerce, majoring in accounting. She worked for Bacnotan Consolidated Industries in the Philippines before coming to the United States in 1987. She was a dedicated professional who worked for various companies, including Laidlaw Environmental/Safety Kleen and Wilbur Smith Associates/CDM Smith, the SC DMV/DMH/DEW. She was a licensed CPA in the Philippines and was known for her commitment to excellence in her field. Beyond her professional achievements, she was an active member of the community. Myrna was a lifetime member of the Filipino American Association of Greater Columbia and attended the St. John Neumann Catholic Church of Columbia. Myrna loved to dance, culture activities, and cook. 

 Surviving in addition to her husband are her son, Andrew R. Whitmire of Columbia; her brother, Romulo Cabading (Milanimpa) of Hayword, CA; her sister, Eleanor Cuaresma (Jesus Emmanuel) of Columbia. 

 Predeceased in addition to her parents are her sister, Arceli Ganzon. 

 Funeral services will be conducted Monday, January 6, 2025 at 3:00 P.M. in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Clinton by Father Sandy McDonald with burial in Rosemont Cemetery. The family will greet friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
