Nancy Hughes Nelson

Nancy Hughes Nelson, age 85, of Clinton, SC, passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at National Health Care of Clinton.
She was born March 8, 1937 in Newberry, SC and was a daughter of the late John Albert Hughes and Helen Rogers Hughes. Nancy was retired from Clinton Mills, Plant #2, and was a member of the First Pentecostal Holiness Church of Clinton.
She is survived by her daughters, Sherri Maggard (Mike) of Clinton and Melody Trammell (Donald) of Clinton; her sister, Pat Osborne of Whitmire; her grandchildren, Amanda Trammell, Ryan Webb (Kayla), and Caleb Avery; and her four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Candy Avery; and her very special lifelong friend, Shirley Bannister.
A Graveside Service will be held 2 PM Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Pinelawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Mark Entrekin and Rev. Sherrill Green officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the chapel.

Gray Funeral Home of Clinton is assisting the family with arrangements.
