Nancy Joan Adams, age 70, of Hickory, NC, died Friday, April 16, 2010 in the Frye Regional Medical Center.
Ms. Adams was born in Clinton, SC and was the daughter of the late W.H. and Ruby Jones Adams.
She is survived by two sisters, Patricia Torbert of Orlando, FL and Jane Lloyd of Taylorsville, NC.
Graveside services will be conducted Sunday at 3:00 p.m. in the Rock Bridge Presbyterian Church Cemetery by Rev. Al Mersman.

With a bright mind and an extraordinary artistic talent, unaware in childhood that she was to face her adult life locked in struggle with a devastating disease. She faced that challenge as admirably as anyone could, retaining the love of her family and her faith in God. We are proud of you, Nancy, and we will surely miss you. Our lives without you cannot be the same.
