Nelven S. Kelley, age 77, of 1330 Kinard Street, Newberry, formerly of Whitmire, died Monday, July 21, 2014 in the J.F. Hawkins Nursing Home.
He was born in Goldville and the son of Ten Eight and Eliza Harrison Kelley, of Whitmire.
Mr. Kelley was raised in Whitmire and was of the Baptist Faith. He was a hard worker, who loved children and his family and loved to have a good time.
He is survived by his sisters Patricia Brazell of Whitmire; Sharon Bumgarner of Clinton; and Marion Warn of Virginia Beach, VA; his sister-in-law Pible Kelley and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother Warren Kelley and his brothers-in-law Buddy Brazell, Carl Bumgarner and Vince Warn.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, July 24th at the Whitmire Cemetery at 2:00 P.M.
The family will receive friends Thursday, before the service, from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at The Masters Baptist Church in Whitmire.
