B. Noland Suddeth

Broadus Noland Suddeth age 89, of 101 Jacobs Hwy. died Monday, March 11, 2013 in the Hospice House of Laurens County.
He was born in Clinton and was a son of the late Broadus Hobson and Jimmie Nola Sparks Suddeth.
Mr. Suddeth attended Clemson University and was a retired employee of Simmons and Weir Masonry Contractors. He was a former member of the Kiwanis Club and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Clinton where he was a former deacon and trustee. Mr. Suddeth was a US Army Air Corp veteran of WWII, was a former board member of the Clinton-Newberry Natural Gas Authority and served several terms as Mayor and Alderman for the City of Clinton.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Taylor Suddeth of the home; a son, B. Noland Suddeth, Jr. and wife, Nina of Charlotte, NC; two daughters, Linda Suddeth Smith and husband, Larry of Columbia, Ann Suddeth Graydon and husband, Danny of Laurens; four grandsons, Corey Graydon, Bryson Graydon, Graham Suddeth and Mitch Graydon; three step great grandchildren, Justin, Erika and Sydney Graydon of Laurens; two nephews, Dr. James Noland Suddeth of NJ and Thomas Alan Suddeth of PA
He was predeceased by a brother, Alan Suddeth.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Clinton with burial in Rosemont Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday before the service from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of the church.
