Norma Wallar Fryfogle, widow of Kenneth Evans Fryfogle, passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2018. Norma was born on October 21, 1919 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. She was the daughter of John Franklin Wallar and Florence McRae Wallar. Norma was predeceased by her husband; sister, Ruth Wallar Main; brothers, Lorne, Andy, and Murray Wallar. Norma is survived by two daughters,
Pat Hartley (Dan) of Mount Pleasant, SC and Marilyn Hamer (Billy) of Fairview, NC. She is also survived by three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; Peyton Hartley (Scott) Galatolie and daughter, Carsten; McRae Hamer; and Lincoln (Lindsey) Hamer and son, Heath.
Norma moved to Greenville with her husband after the end of WWII. She was the last surviving member of THE Supper Club, a group of twelve couples established in the late 1940s by former Greenville High School classmates.
Norma’s dedication to helping others was reflected in her volunteer work with the Greenville YWCA, Meals on Wheels, and Westminster Presbyterian Church. In Clinton she became active at the First Presbyterian Church, a member of the “Pink Ladies” at Laurens Hospital, and an elementary school tutor. She enjoyed participating in the Greenville Rotary Book Club and the Clinton Sun Bonnet Garden Club.
Norma’s special gift was to make each individual feel important. Her positive attitude and kindness spread to those around her.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Clinton Presbyterian Home Chapel, 801 Musgrove St., Clinton, SC. The family will receive friends following the service.
