Norman W. Darlington age 73 of 1676 Barracks Dr., Gilbert died Tuesday, November 22nd in the Lexington Medical Center.
He was born in Jamaica, NY and was son of the late William Meyers and Mildred Baker Darlington.
Mr. Darlington was a graduate of the University of South Carolina Law School. He later retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Major having served as a pilot during the Korean War and Vietnam War. He also retired as a lieutenant with the S.C. Department of Corrections. Mr. Darlington was member of the Knights of Columbus and member of the Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Lexington.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia Greene Darlington of the home; children, Michael Darlington, Richard Darlington, Debra Ann Darlington, James Patrick Darlington, Patricia Marie Bradley and Benjamin Darlington; step-children, Robert Yon, George Edward Yon and Patricia Yon Grady; fourteen grandchildren and five step-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a sister, Mildred Darlington.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, November 28th at 2:00 p.m. in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel, burial with Military Honors in Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 to 2:00 at the funeral home.
