Ommie Mae Nelson, age 62, of 13 Gallon Street, died Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at her home.
She was born in Laurens and was a daughter of the late Claude Pitts and Rachel Cook Pitts.
Mrs. Nelson was a former employee of Martha Franks and was a member of Lucas Avenue Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Sidney Garfield Nelson of the home; her son, Sidney Garfield Nelson, III; her brother, Wayne Pitts of Laurens; her grandchildren, Allison Nelson, Hunter Nelson and Kaylee Nelson.
She was predeceased by her brother, James H. Pitts.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 27th at 12:00 PM at Lucas Avenue Baptist Church with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the home, 13 Gallon St, Laurens, SC 29360.
