Dateline-Gray Court, SC
Patricia Howard, age 75, the widow of John L Howard of 283 Cumlaude Way went to be with her Lord Saturday, June 16, 2012 at her home.
She was born in Greenville, SC and was a daughter of the late Alvin H. and Loree Plumley Clayton.
Mrs. Howard was a retired employee of the SC DOT Laurens Office and was a member of the Warrior Creek Baptist Church. She was a person that loved everyone and they loved her.
Surviving are a granddaughter raised in the home, Rebecca Smith of Gray Court; one son, Bobby James Padgett, Jr. of Clinton; three daughters, Deborah Worthy of Laurens, Shirley Leopard and Mary Louise Nabors both of Gray Court; three sisters, Iris Tolbert of Simpsonville, Julia Craig and Juanita Cook both of Laurens; two brothers, Harold Clayton of Hickory Tavern and Milford Clayton of Greer; eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by a sister, Loraine Christ and a brother, Lloyd Clayton.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, June 19th at 3:00 p.m. in the Warrior Creek Baptist Church by Rev. Russell Freeman with burial in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Gray Funeral Home of Laurens
