Patricia "Pat" Bright Mode

Patricia "Pat" Bright Mode, age 77, of Joanna, SC, widow of Paul Robert Mode, passed away, Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Born on September 25, 1946, in Spartanburg County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Reverend James F. and Hazel Miriam Fortenberry Bright. Pat retired from Laurens County Disabilities and Special Needs after many years of dedicated service. A faithful member of Epworth United Methodist Church, she was also actively involved in the Joanna Festival Committee and cherished attending Joanna Gatherings. Her greatest joy was her only child, Jason, and her grandsons, she found great happiness in spending time with her family and watching her grandsons play sports.
Pat is survived by her son, Jason Mode (Shalina) of Clinton; her grandsons who brought her so much joy, Camden and Kenson Mode; and her sister, Gayle Woolsey of Inman.
In addition to her parents and husband of 40 years, Pat was preceded in death by her brother, Jim Bright.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 17, 2024, at Epworth United Methodist Church with Rev. Jerry Pickens and Rev. Jonathan Bright officiating.
Visitation will be held prior to the service Friday from 1:00-2:00 PM at the church.
The family will be at the home of her son and daughter-in-law.
