Pauline Tankersley Crisp

June 21, 1930 — May 16, 2019

Pauline Tankersley Crisp, age 88, widow of Obed Abijah Crisp, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2019 at her home.
She was born in Lee County, VA and was the daughter of the late Clyde Tankersley and Lula Martin Tankersley. She had worked with the US Forestry Service and later retired from Monsanto. She was a member of Central Avenue Baptist Church, she loved everyone and showed it by feeding them.
Mrs. Crisp is survived by her three sons, Dwight Crisp of Cross Hill, Wesley Crisp and David Crisp (Trena) both of Whitmire; her daughter, Carolyn Wessinger (Doug) of Prosperity; her two brothers Clyde Tankersley, Jr of Whitmire and Billy Joe Tankersley of Greenwood; her three grandchildren and her seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and her parents she is predeceased by her brother, Charles Tankersley and her daughter-in-law, Lois Crisp.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 2 PM at the Friendship Baptist Church with burial to take place at the Whitmire Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, May 17, 2019 from 6 to 8 PM at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Central Avenue Baptist Church, PO Box 133, Whitmire, SC 29178 or to Prisma Hospice, PO Box 352, Newberry, SC 29108.
