Peggy Webb Gilmer
June 27, 1933 — January 19, 2019
Peggy Webb Gilmer, age 85, widow of Lewis Riley Gilmer went home to be with the Lord on January 19, 2019.
She was born in Clinton, South Carolina to Johnnie James Webb and Edna Petty Webb on June 27, 1933. After the death of her father she was raised by her loving step father affectionally known as Daddy Giles.
Mrs. Gilmer faithfully attended Calvary Baptist Church and was a member of the Welcome Sunday School Class and was the assistant teacher of the class.
Mrs. Gilmer is survived by; a son, Jon Giles Gilmer of Clinton and a daughter, Jackie Gilmer Vincent (Gary) of Joanna; three grandchildren, Samantha Vincent Smaltz of Joanna, Libba Vincent Cooley (Gary) of Laurens, Joshua Lee Gilmer (Alyssa) of Clinton; eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 23 at 2:00 PM at Calvary Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends following the memorial service at Calvary Baptist Church.
The family will be at the home of her daughter, at 115 Reeder Street, Joanna, SC 29351.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 702 N Sloan Street, Clinton SC 29325 or Hospice of Laurens County, PO Box 178 Clinton, SC 29325.
