Surrounded by his loving family, Perry Lee Miles went home to be with his Heavenly
Father on Saturday, June 24, 2017. His strong faith in Jesus Christ helped him fight a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer with strength, courage, and a sweet spirit. Perry was born on March 6, 1970, in Chattanooga, Tennessee to Bettie Kelley Miles and the late Perry Oscar Miles of Laurens, SC.
Perry graduated from Laurens District 55 High School in 1988 where he played alto saxophone in the marching band under Director Andy Hodges, sang in the LDHS chorus and was a member of the drama club. Perry’s life was filled with love for his Lord and Savior, his family and friends, music, the Atlanta Braves and he was a diehard #1 fan of the Clemson Tigers. The family would like to give special thanks to Coach Dabo Sweeney for the autographed picture and message of hope. It brought much joy and many smiles to Perry’s face through this most difficult time.
