Phil Mcdowell, Sr.

Phil McDowell, Sr. age 65 of 155 Dragon Trail died Friday, Nov. 5th at the Laurens County Hospital.
He was born in Horry County and was a son of the late Oscar and Reba Todd McDowell.
Mr. McDowell was a former associate with Wal-Mart, Newberry store.
Surviving are his wife Brenda Trammel McDowell of the home; two sons, Morris McDowell of Laurens, Phil McDowell, Jr. of Heath Springs; one daughter, Crystal Burton of Laurens; two step daughters, Amanda Hurley of Fountain Inn and Melissa Dixon of Winder, GA; two sisters, Elnita Parrott of Woodstock, GA, Vivian Grooms of Mt. Pleasant, SC, seven grandchildren and five step grandchildren.
Mr. McDowell was predeceased by three brothers, Leland McDowell of Myrtle Beach, Elwood McDowell of Loris and Johnny McDowell of Demopolis, AL.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, Nov. 8th at 11:00 a.m. at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family will be at the home of his daughter, Crystal Burton, 205 Cummings St., Laurens, SC.
