Rachel Ann Samples

Rachel Ann Samples, age 74, of 110 Beauregard Street and widow of Smokey Samples, passed away Friday, January 27, 2017, at the Laurens County Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Anderson County and was a daughter of the late Cecil T. and Katherine Willis Smith.
Mrs. Samples was a former employee of Clinton Mills and attended the First Pentecostal Holiness Church.
She is survived by two sons, Jimmy Samples and Christopher Samples, both of Clinton; a brother, Wayne Smith of Clinton; two sisters, Judy Patterson and Elizabeth “Sugarfoot” Gossett, both of Clinton; a grandchild, Kensley D. Samples; and a great-grandchild, Matthew Turner.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Samples was predeceased by a daughter, Kathy Elaine Samples, and a sister, Deborah Smith.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, January 30th at 2 PM, in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Clinton, with burial at Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6 to 8 PM, at the funeral home.
