Ray T. Dendy, age 79 of 104 Pinewood Avenue, died Friday, January 20, 2012 at his home.
He was born in Monroe, NC and was a son of the late Albert Benjamin and Edith Reid Dendy.
Mr. Dendy was retired from Independent Life Insurance Company and was a member of the Clinton First Baptist Church where he sang in the choir and served as a Deacon. He was a Korean War Navy Veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Emma Allen Dendy of the home; two daughters, Nancy (Briggs) Hamilton of Easley and Terri Dendy of Clinton; a sister, Jeanette Simpson of Greenville; and three grandchildren, Blair, Daniel and Jason Dendy of Clinton.
He was predeceased by a son, David Ray Dendy and a sister, Colleen Satterfield.
A graveside service will be conducted Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 4:30 p.m. in Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will be at the home.
