Rev. Allard Richard Parker, age 87 and a resident of the Martha Franks Baptist Retirement Center, died Wednesday, June 11, 2008.
He was born in Williamsburg, SC and was a son of the late Isaac and Jeannie F. Parker.
Mr. Parker was a retired minister of 35 years, a member of the Wattsville Church of God of Prophecy and a WW II veteran.
Surviving are three sons, Terry Parker, Allen Parker, James Parker all of Waterloo, SC; two daughters, Miriam Newman of Camden, Tammy Quarles of Waterloo; one brother, Johnny Parker of Florence, SC; sixteen grandchildren and twenty-eight great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris C. Parker, a son, Earl Lee Parker and a daughter, Richardean Parker, six brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted at Friday, June 13th at11:00 a.m. in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Laurens with burial in the Waterloo Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family will be at the home of his son, James Parker, 463 Burton Creekside Rd., Waterloo, SC.
