Rev. R. D. Parker, age 91, of 602 Fleming St. died Tuesday, October 21, 2008 in the Greenville Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Belton and was the son of the late Robert William and Bessie Broome Parker.
Rev. Parker pastured the First Assembly of God Church for over 42 years and was a W. W. II U.S. Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Cara Davis Parker of the home; a son, Robert Terry Parker, Sr. of Laurens and a daughter, Joyce P. Snow of Laurens; a sister, Claudia Smith of Norfolk, VA; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the First Assembly of God Church with interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
