Rex E. Stroud

Rex E. Stroud, age 65 of 3468 Burnt Mill Creek Rd. died Friday, December 21, 2007 at the Laurens County Hospital.
He was born Whitmire, SC and was a son of the late Edmund Boyd and Beatrice Miller Stroud.
Mr. Stroud retired from General Motors of Pontiac, Michigan and was a member of the Holly Grove Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mary McWatters Stroud of the home; one son, Richard E. Stroud and wife, Tara of Warrenburg, Missouri; two daughters, Karen Ginn and husband, Gary of Clinton, Kathy Campbell and husband, Donnie of Berea, Kentucky; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Mr. Stroud was preceded in death by a brother, Claude Stroud.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, 11:00 a.m. in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Clinton with burial in the Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Holly Grove Baptist Church, 92 Holly Grove Church Rd., Laurens, SC 29360.
