Richard Versal Kent

Richard Versal Kent, age 62, of Clinton, SC passed away Sunday, July 3, 2022.
He was born May 25, 1960 in Birmingham, AL and was a son of the late Frank Douglas Kent and Bertie McGuire Rich.
Richard was a skilled craftsman and enjoyed fishing, working in the yard and gardening. He was a fine man, a kind man, a devoted family man, and was loved by many friends.
Mr. Kent is survived by his daughter, Amy Kent James (Matt) of Harpersville, AL; his grandson, Ethan Naum James; his siblings, Linda Sparks (Ken), Charles Kent (Kay), Mary Etta Norsworthy (Terry), David Kent, Sheila Rochester (Johnny), and Renae Hux (Eric); his special friend, Martha Baker; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his son, John Michael Kent, and his brother, Johnny Rich.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 11 AM at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Clinton. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10 AM to 11 AM at the funeral home.
