Richard Montgomery "Monty" Owens

Richard Montgomery “Monty” Owens, age 59, husband of Tina Owens, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2022 at his home in West Columbia, SC.
Monty was born April 21, 1963 in Clinton, SC and was a son of Truman and Pat Owens of Clinton, SC. Monty served in the US Navy as an Aviation Electrician and Recruiter for 8 years, he was a member of the First Baptist Church of Clinton and had a great passion for Dirt Track Racing. Monty will be greatly missed for he was always the life of the party, could always make you laugh, and help you forget your troubles.
In addition to his wife and parents, Monty is survived by his two sons, Christopher and Jamie Owens; his brother, Larry Owens (Tammy); his mother-in-law, Margaret Clark; his sisters-in-law, Renee Rogers and Robin Owens (Don); and many nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at 2 PM at the First Baptist Church of Clinton with Rev. Dr. Blake Harwell officiating, burial will take place at Pinelawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends prior the service from 1 to 2 PM at the church.

The family will be at the home of his parents, Truman and Pat Owens, 502 N Adair Street, Clinton, SC 29325.
