Robert Dale "Robbie" Dillard, 62, of Whitmire, passed away unexpectedly Thursday morning, March 11, 2021 at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.
He was born July 4, 1958 in Union and was a son of Elsie Osborne Vicars, and the late Jerry Vicars and James R. "Bobby" Dillard.
Robbie was known as a kind and caring individual, often visiting people in the community who were shut in, sick or grieving. He enjoyed lending a hand to assist anyone in need, and always put others before himself.
In addition to his mother, Robbie is survived by his son, Henry Green, and granddaughter Emmalee Green, both of Whitmire; his brothers Cliff Vicars (Sharon) of Johnson City, TN, Darrell Vicars and Jonathan Vicars, both of Whitmire; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services will be held Sunday, March 14, 2021, 3PM at the Whitmire Cemetery with Rev. Cliff Vicars officiating.
The body will be taken to his mother’s home, 1092 Hwy. 66, Whitmire, SC on Saturday afternoon where friends and family can view until the hour before the service.
