Robert "Sunshine" Worthy

Robert “Sunshine” Worthy, age 78, of 86 Hill Creek St passed away on Saturday October 4th, 2014 at White Oak Nursing Home in Newberry, SC.
He was born in Whitmire, SC and was the son of the late Wallace and Victoria Gregory Worthy. He was retired from J.P. Stevens and he attend the Whitmire Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Mr. Worthy is survived by his daughter, Mary Worthy Wald of Lake Lure, NC; his son, William Worthy of Clinton, SC; his brother, Preston Worthy of Whitmire; his sister, Patricia King of Woodruff; a special sister-in-law, Betty Worthy; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his sisters, Nelly Mae Worthy and Edna Maness and brothers, Ervin, Vard, and William Worthy.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, October 6th, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Whitmire Pentecostal Holiness Church by Rev. Eddie Duncan and Rev. Robert King with burial at the Whitmire Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. at the Whitmire Pentecostal Holiness Church.
