Robert A. Humphries

Robert A. Humphries, age 77, of 420 W. Farley Ave. in Laurens and formerly of Clinton died Sunday, February 19, 2012 at the Hospice House of Laurens County.
He was born in Laurens County and was the son of the late Denton Russ and Clara Spelts Humphries.
Mr. Humphries was retired for the S.C. Highway Department and also from the U. S. Air Force. He was a founding member of the Agape Christian Fellowship and was a former assistant Scout Master of Troop 111 in Clinton.
He is survived by a son, Bobby Humphries of Elberton, GA and a daughter, Angela Howell of Laurens; formerly married to Joyce Humphries of Clinton; sisters, Ophelia H. Marler, Ida H. Tapp, Essie H. Landrith, Tiny H. Sherbert and Phoebee Humphries; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Elton Humphries and Furman (PeeWee) Humphries.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 4th at 2:00 p.m. in the Pinelawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Clinton.
