Roberta "Jean" Pennington Jones

Roberta "Jean" Pennington Jones, of Laurens, SC, widow of Billy B. Jones, passed away, Friday, January 31, 2025, at Prisma Health Laurens County Hospital.

 She was born August 6, 1935 in Barksdale, SC, and was the daughter of the late George and Sara Lena Cisson Pennington. Jean was a homemaker and a member of the First Assembly of God. 

 Jean is survived by her sons, David Jones of Florida, and Steve Jones of Laurens; her sisters, Louise Owens, and Ellen Robertson, both of Laurens, and Sara Hill of Gray Court; her grandchildren, Richard Jones, Logan Jones, and Hunter Jones; and many special nieces and nephews.

 In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her brothers, William Pennington, and James Pennington; her sisters, Dorothy P. Scott, Helen Pennington, Ruth P. Ford, and Jeanette Carlton; and her special niece, Wanda Allen.

 Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at 1:00 PM Forest Lawn Cemetery with Rev. James Owens officiating.
