 Roberta Lynn Smith, age 58, wife of Ira Pate, passed away Monday, January 13, 2025 at her home. 

 She was born on August 2 1966, in Clinton, South Carolina and is the daughter of Geroge Robert Smith and the late Patricia Frances Cooper Smith. Roberta was a caring and loving mother and grandmother. She was also a dedicated employee of PLD formerly known as Aaron Industries for 25 plus years. 

 Roberta is survived by her daughter, Amber Bouslay (Travis Montgomery) of Easley; her granddaughter, Adrianna Bouslay of the home, Lilly Montgomery and Taylor Montgomery; stepchildren, Morgan Pate and Jeanna Pate; her brother, Brandon Smith of Clinton; her sisters, Ann Smith of Ware Shoals and Libby Manley of Gray Court. 

 In addition to her mother, Roberta is preceded in death by her son, Adrian Shane Merrill. 

 Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Hurricane Baptist Church with Rev. Jake Patterson officiating. The family will greet friends from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM at the church. 

 In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105
