Robert J. Brank

Robert J. Brank age 85 of 1524 S. Church St. and widower of Jessie Elizabeth Brank died Sunday, June 11th in the National Health Care of Laurens.
He was born in Columbia, SC and was a son of the late Elisha and Mary Cordell Brank.
Mr. Brank was a member of the First Baptist Church of Whitmire for over 60 years, he was a US Army veteran of World War II, serving with distinction in the European and North Africa theaters. He also was a lifetime member of the D.A.V.
Surviving are a stepdaughter, Toni Counts of Greenville; a stepson, Roland Lackey of Camden; a brother, Arthur Brank of Whitmire; four grandchildren, Cathy Counts of Columbia, Gary Counts of Athens, GA, Laury Wehunt and Robert Lackey both of Camden and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, June 13th at 3:00 p.m. at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Whitmire with burial in the Whitmire Cemetery.
The family will receive friends the hour before the service, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
