Ronald Wayne King

October 28, 1944 — December 3, 2019

Ronald Wayne King (Ronnie), age 75, widow of Kay Hatton King, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at the Hospice House of Laurens County.
He was born in Clinton and was the son of the late Lucius Lamar and Ida Poole King. Ronnie retired from Whitten Center but his passion was youth work. He served the youth of our community for over 40 years at First Baptist Church and Broad Street United Methodist Church. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corp and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his daughter, Adair King of Clinton; brother, Lamar King (Corinne) of high Point, NC; sisters, Judy King (Paula) of Columbia and Connie Uldrick (John) of Clinton; grandsons, Austin Burton (Franny) and Ayden King; great granddaughters, Avery and Anslee; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted Friday, December 6, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Clinton. Visitation will be held prior to the service at 12:30 PM in the church parlor.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Clinton, P.O. Box 95 Clinton, SC 29325 or Broad Street United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 204 Clinton, SC 29325.
