Ronald J. Mercer

Ronald J. Mercer age 57, of 898 Boyd’s Mill Pond Rd. passed away Wednesday, Jan. 7th at his home.
He was born in Libby, Montana and was a son of the late Charles and Inez Matthews Mercer.
Ronald was Operations Manager for Specialty Vermiculite but, his true joy came from riding motorcycles, his woodworking, guns and shooting, along with anything that took him outdoors.
Surviving are his wife, Diann Mercer of the home; three sons, Steven Freeman of Pelzer, Craig Mercer of Charleston, SC, Anthony Mercer of Laurens; three daughters, Carolyn Mercer of Greenville, Danelle Freeman of Pelzer, Nicole Gunter of Shreveport, LA; twenty grandchildren and one great grandchild.
The family will receive friends Friday, January 9th from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. at Gray Funeral Home, followed by a memorial service will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Laurens.
