Rose Marie Smith Shockley

March 2, 1947 — August 17, 2007

Rose Marie Smith Shockley, age 60 of 53 Circle Drive died Friday, August 17, 2007 in the Hillcrest Hospital in Simpsonville.
She was born in Laurens County and was a daughter of the late Loyal Kuykendall and Myrtice Marie Smith.
Mrs. Shockley was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy of Fountain Inn and a hospice volunteer. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
Surviving are her husband, Joseph William Shockley, Sr. of the home; two sons, Joseph William Shockley, Jr. of Mountville, Paul David Shockley of Gray Court; three daughters, Tina Landis and husband Dean of Honea Path, Polly Ann Shockley of Georgia, Melissa Lee Dunham of Clinton; two brothers, Charles Edward Cooper and Larry William Cooper both of Gray Court; two sisters, Kay Cooper of Easley and Susan Barbary of Greer; nineteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Rose was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Miranda Nicole Dunham.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, Aug. 22nd at 11:00 a.m. in the Church of God of Prophecy in Fountain Inn, with burial in Westview Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
