Roy Edward Hanley, age 65, of 304 Cypress St. died Friday, September 8, 2006 in the Laurens County Hospital.
He was born in Pelzer and was the son of the late Woodrow and Pearl Mae Cooper Hanley.
Mr. Hanley was retired from the Clinton Y.M.C.A. and attended the Prince of Peace Holiness Church.
He is survived by his wife, Debra Etters Hanley of the home; a son, Ronald Nelson of Woodruff; a daughter, Regina Pennington of Laurens; two step daughters, Tammy Hughes of Gray Court and Samantha Samples of Clinton; a step son, Forest Kelly Samples of Columbia; a brother, Meredith Hanley of Cross Anchor and five grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a son, Mark Anthony Samples; three brothers, William R. Hanley, J.B. Hanley and Johnny Hanley.
A memorial service will be conducted Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. in the Believers Assembly Church.
The family will receive friends Monday at the home, 304 Cypress St., Clinton.
